Coal Brief – May 2023

In the middle of each month, we publish a set of key statistics on the coal market in Poland at www.instrat.pl/en and energy.instrat.pl Twitter account. The data is published with a 1.5-month delay, following announcements by the Energy Market Agency and the Industrial Development Agency, Katowice Branch.

ELECTRICITY PRODUCTION FROM COAL – 74% of electricity produced in May came from emissive fuels, out of which 38% from hard coal.
