Page updates April 2025

Since the begining of the year, various works have been conducted on the platform. Most of them focused on bug fixes, adapting to changes in source data and maintenance. When it comes to page content, the monthly Coal Briefs were published regularly, new versions of power plants and coal mines databases were released and some minor text editing changes happened. The updates have been carried out on constant basis and in update package earlier this month.

List of changes:

  • Fixes in data download from i.a. ENTSO-e and TGE due to changes in source data and in our database – for these reasons a few interruptions in electricity generation and hourly day-ahead prices occured
  • Redaction of the chart description: Electricity production from emissive and non-emissive (renewable) sources in Poland
  • New version of the coal mines database published at the start of the year (post with description of changes and data)
  • New version of the power plants database published at the start of February (post with description of changes and data
  • Coal Brief has been regularly published, covering data for the months September, October, November, December 2024 and January 2025 on our blog
  • Development environment, monthly and yearly chart templates were updated and page security was improved
  • Countermeasures against unauthorized use of the website by automatic scripts were undertaken. We warn that actions causing an extensive load of our serves (not necessarily on purpose) will result in restricting the access to the website. energy.instrat is an open data platform, but it shouldn’t serve as a cost-free substitute of the official sources for commercial activity, while there are dedicated access channel of the respective institutions available
