See what’s going on with energy and mining in Poland

The graph shows the price of electricity delivered in different hours of the day, contracted within the Day-Ahead Market (DAM) of Polish Power Exchange – as well as the volume (amount) of energy bought for this price. The price in total trade (joint_trade) is the weighted average of prices from fixing I, fixing II and continuous quotations. It does not include taxes or transmission costs.

Fixing I: bids are placed to buy and sell energy (not including the possibility of trading with interconnected markets abroad), which are paired with each other. Bids are placed between 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. on the day before the physical delivery of energy. At 10:30 a.m., the price for all delivery hours is determined, but is not publicly available yet.

Fixing II: the next phase of bidding, which takes into account the possibility of trading with interconnected markets abroad. Bids are published at 11:15 and at 13:30 the price for all delivery hours is determined.

Continuous quotations: transactions are concluded on an ongoing basis by matching buy and sell orders.

DAM is a spot market. Trading takes place 7 days a week.

Ongoing issues

As of 1 October 2025, TGE has introduced significant, unexpected changes to how we share data. After adapting our infrastructure, we are currently only displaying data from 7 December 2025 – since then, at the time of the update, the data was available on the TGE website.

Aggregation timeframe

Aggregation type

Important: for hourly aggregation, the time on horizontal axis marks the moment where the hourly interval begins on the clock. The price for energy delivery is set for this interval.
For example, the reading for "10:00" point means the 11th hour of the day, which is between 10:00 and 11:00 on the clock.
