See what’s going on with energy and mining in Poland

November update of the website

The energy.instrat.pl platform was updated on 7th November 2024. Below is a summary of the most important recent changes,  deployed either in the update or in the preceding weeks, as described in other blog posts.

New data on page:

Bug fixes and other changes:

  • Better presentation of “Similar articles” on the bottom of blog posts
  • Fixes in the display of certain Flourish charts
  • Fixes in data downloads
  • Fixes for handling daylight saving time properly in certain cases
  • Changes related to handling the new API for one of our main sources – PSE (the Polish TSO)

We would also like to remind you that the electricity generation chart based on ENTSO-e data presents  the generation through power since July. This is the result of new data resolution on ENTSO-e (sourced for Poland by PSE) to 15-minute. 15-minute data cannot be added like hourly data were, because electrical energy’s basic unit is megawattHOUR. Consequently, the least interfence in the chart was to change the unit to power presented in megawatts (or gigawatts) and changing the available aggregations (hourly, daily, etc.) to averages calculated from the 15-minute data. The chart presenting energy yield (useful in presenting, for example, the daily volume of generated energy) will appear on our page too, in the near future.

We invite you to explore the new content and continue to track the changes on our platform!
