To start the year off right, we have a large set of updates for you. New transition scenarios, website acceleration, a new look for some parts, and a change in the licence for using price data – we have summarised the updates introduced at various times in January and in a large package on 23 January.
Changes to the platform’s operation:
- Website optimisation – we have improved caching and implemented dynamic content reloading instead of full-page refreshes. The increase in loading speed should be visible to users, and further speed improvements are on the way!
- Menu collapse – we have increased the range of screen widths for which the side menu opens collapsed by default. This is in response to user feedback – now, when opened on laptops with display scaling enabled, for example, the page opens immediately in a more convenient view.
- New look for tiles on the blog, in search results, and in the tag archive, with posts and pages. We have fixed issues with missing titles or fragments of descriptions.
- Fix for chart data preview on mobile devices – the table displayed below hourly or daily charts has been restored.

Change in the licence for price data from TGE
Four pages with data now covered by the CC BY-NC 4.0 licence (non-commercial use)
Daily electricity price data launched
At the end of 2025, daily indices were relaunched. Hourly indices are under repair.
Carbon allowances launched in 2026
We write about the results of the primary market on 7 January and summarise 2025.
Problems with demand data
Due to changes in the publication methodology, PSE demand data from 14 June 2024 onwards is not comparable with previous data.
Coal Brief for November 2025
On 21 January, we published a monthly report with additional information on installed capacity.
- Errors in the electricity mix chart due to time change – source data in the chart Electricity production, source: ENTSO-e on 26 October 2025 was affected by errors resulting from the shift to winter time. In response to our report, ENTSO-e and PSE corrected the source data. However, an error occurred on our side – the data from the time change period (2:00 – 3:00) is mixed up. We are working on a solution to this problem.
Further updates and corrections coming soon!
